Most members of the 432d end up sooner or later (usually sooner) supporting exercises at the two main training areas in Germany, Hohenfels and Grafenwoehr. My turn in the field at Hohenfels came in 1997, but I was lucky - it was in the summer, though still cold and rainy part of the time.

Stone Piles

Parts of Hohelfels are dotted with stone piles, which we were told are burial mounds from ancient times, though they look a little too fresh.
