January 25: To the West End

Steven Dutch, Professor Emeritus, Natural and Applied Sciences, University of Wisconsin - Green Bay

Since this was going to be a long trip and the sea was a bit rough, we slipped into wet suits for the trip.
Left: Looking west about halfway to the west end. Note the two glaciers converging high on the slope, enclosing a triangular cliff, and the glacier reaching the shore just left (east) of it. Aspland Island is visible in the distance.
Below: views of the triangular cliff face.
Views of the glacier just east of the triangular cliff.
