SGT Lindemann's Unfulfilled Fantasy

SGT Lindemann, a great NCO and good friend, was an avid boulder climber. He positively drooled every time we passed this one on the way to Sekovici.
 

Checkpoint Sandra

On the Bosnia-Serb demarcation line, this restaurant was right next door to a checkpoint. The checkpoint was originally named for an actress like many of the camps but was later given the unromantic official name Whiskey Three-Zero (W30).
