Park Avenue, Arches National Park, Utah

Location: 38o 37' 27" N, 109o 35' 58" W.

This vista is called Park Avenue because the rock spires and vertical walls remind some visitors of the skyscrapers of New York. The rock is fractured by straight cracks called joints. The rocks are all sandstone, belonging to the Entrada Formation of Jurassic age.
