This attractive landform deserves to be better known, although a former resident of the area describes it as a popular local hangout. Approached from the north it appears to be just a nondescript clump of trees, but from the south it has a vertical cliff. Unlike many mounds, this one is out in open country and easily visible from a mile or more away. The surrounding land is part of the Leola Marsh Wildlife Area. Presumably local teenagers contribute some wild life of their own.
