Small Landslide, Wyoming

Steven Dutch, Professor Emeritus, Natural and Applied Sciences, University of Wisconsin - Green Bay

This small landslide happened just outside Casper, Wyoming. The rock layers slope parallel to the hillside, and a large mass of rock slid down a bedding plane. The debris at the bottom has a rumpled texture, a very common signature of landslide deposits.
