Discussion

The Indian-Australian Plate is the only plate with two large independent continennts on it. India and Austrlia were once separate plates but joined. The collision with India and Eurasia is inposing great stresses on the plate, and intraplate seismicity suggests the pleay may be beginning to break along the dotted red line.
